Do you know the history of Blora??? City of peace, calm. Take it easy ......... I'll give a brief info about the origins of this beloved city.
Blora, BELOR derived from the word meaning mud, and then eventually develop into Mbeloran now known as BLORA.
Blora etymologically derived from the word " Wai + Lorah ". Wai means water, and Lorah means low ground or a cliff.
In the Java language often changes the letter W with the letter B, without changing the meaning of the word. So over the development period Wailorah words turned into Bailorah, from Bailorah become Balora and eventually became Blora Balora said.
So the name has a meaning Blora low watery land, this is very close to understanding the muddy ground.
Half of Blora Regency area is forest area, especially in the north, east, and south. Lowlands in the central part is generally a rice cultivation.
Most of the Blora district is an area of water crisis (both for drinking and for irrigation) in the dry season, especially in mountainous areas of lime. While in the rainy season, prone to flooding mudslides in some areas.
Kali Lusi is the largest river in Blora regency, eyed the water in the mountains of North Lime (Apex), flows westward through the city Purwodadi who eventually joined the Times Attack.
